Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families are well. Thank you for the feedback we have received this week regarding home learning and college communication. If you haven’t yet done so, please complete the survey (https://forms.gle/yxAQSeKAVorKucUA7) to share with us your experiences of the support we are offering at the college. This is a very new experience for us all so we want to continually evaluate and adapt to provide the best possible support for our students during this extended period of college closure. It is so important that students and families keep in contact with us at the college so we can do our best to support you. It will also help us prepare for the eventual reopening of the college and help make that process a little easier for everyone. I also know that teachers working from home really like to get communication from their students so please keep encouraging the contact.
With regards to reopening, despite lots of speculation in the media we are yet to be told an official date. We do however, expect this to be a gradual opening. As soon as I know any official information I will contact you immediately and keep you informed of the preparations we will be making as a college for this. I can assure that the safety of students and staff is our priority and as such we will follow all the latest guidance and advice that is published by the Department for Education and Public Health England.
Finally, thank you again for everything you are doing to support our students with their home learning and most importantly keeping them safe and reassured at this worrying time. It is so wonderful to see the activities they are getting up to on our Facebook page. I didn’t realise how many master bakers and chefs we have at the college. We need to have lots of bake sales when this is all over. I look forward to sampling them all!
Well done to Farwell House in being awarded the most House Points this week. Will they make it four weeks in a row?
