At Bideford College we pride ourselves in working closely with our local primary schools to support students in moving from primary to secondary school. Our current Year 7 have settled well and had a successful first term, both academically and socially.
As part of our new transition process all Year 7 students wrote postcards to their primary school to explain to Year 6 about their first term at Bideford College and reassuring them about how supported they felt. A number of students also took pride in visiting their primary schools to read their postcards to the Year 6 classes and answer any questions about how they had settled in. It was a lovely experience for all involved.
