Letter to Parents and Carers

Dear Parents and Carers, I am writing this letter at the end of a very busy half term at the college. The first few weeks of the public examinations have gone well for our Year 11 and Sixth Form students and we are proud of the confident way they are approaching these important exams. We wish them all well with the busy period ahead.

The college has also focused this week on the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and students have been participating in quizzes and competitions in readiness of the many events that will be taking place next week.

Due to exam board regulations being altered, we were unable to put on the formal exhibition of A Level Art work as in previous years but at late notice we were able to display the art work to staff, governors and parents. It was great for them to be able to view the fantastic work the students had produced throughout difficult and challenging circumstances over the last two years.

We look forward to the second half of the summer term when events such as field trips, activity days, Sports Day, the Sixth Form Ball, the Prom and the college’s key stage 3 production of The Lion King will be taking place. Tickets for the production are now on sale, the dates are Wednesday 13 July – Friday 15 July. Performances are at 7pm and tickets can be purchased here at www.ticketsource.co.uk/bidefordcollege<http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/bidefordcollege>.

Please come along and enjoy what is sure to be another amazing show! Have a lovely half term break and hopefully the sun will shine!

Best wishes

Dr Ankers
