Alice Allebone-Parish, Abi Cook, Molly Pennington, Barney Evans, Lewis Ross and Sam Hinson successfully represented Bideford College at the Modern Foreign Languages Speaking Competition in Barnstaple. This is a competition involving schools – independent and state schools – from all over Devon and some from neighbouring counties. Students each gave a presentation in the language that they study and some demonstrated real inventiveness with their props!
The students enjoyed hearing a range of languages, from both students such as themselves and from native speakers. It gave them invaluable experience and boosted their confidence with how much they were able to understand!
All six students did a fantastic job and were perfect ambassadors for Bideford College. Congratulations go to Sam Hinson who came runner up in her category (KS4 non-native Spanish) with her presentation on healthy living.
