Sixth Form students at Bideford College are celebrating another year of great A-level results.
The 117 Year 13 students at Bideford College have achieved a 97% overall pass rate with an impressive 89 results awarded either an A or A*. Significantly, the number of students scoring an A*-B grades also rose by almost 10% on last year’s results.
In addition to this, there have also been some outstanding individual performances which include Millie Sutherland O’Gara who gained A* in both Biology and English Literature, an A in History and a B in Art and Design, Will Jones who gained A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths and a B in Physics and Libbie Willis who gained straight As in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Principal Lyndsey Kane said, “These results are particularly encouraging given that the Year 13 cohort was much larger this year than that seen previously. I am really pleased to see that the 6th form at Bideford College continues to go from strength to strength. We have been working incredibly hard over the past 7 months to put in place the cornerstones of high expectations, good behaviour, high aspiration and good teaching ,which will underpin our journey towards outstanding progress for the young people of Bideford.”
