Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this email finds you well and that you have had a good week. After a very disrupted end of last half term it was good to have a week at the college with normal lessons and extracurricular clubs running again. Thank you once again for your continued support.
The Humanities Faculty organised a Year 7 Humanities/RE curriculum enrichment visit to Exeter this week. The students had a guided tour of the Cathedral and Mosque and gave our students the opportunity to look at the beliefs, teachings and practices of two world religions. The trip was a huge success and the students returned full of enthusiasm and knowledge.
Thank you to everyone in helping to support the crisis in Ukraine by donating items at the drop off point at the college. The response from the local community has been tremendous. We are also going to be holding a concert in aid of this cause, details to follow soon, so please look out for this information.
Last night was our annual Expressive Arts Awards Evening. It has been two years since we last hosted such an event and whilst we still chose to restrict the number of attendees, it was wonderful to be able to invite so many of you to the college to celebrate the many talents that the young people of our college have. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
I hope you and your families have an enjoyable week ahead, Dr Ankers Principal
