I hope this email finds you and your families well. I am sure you are aware of the new restrictions now being imposed upon us but I thought it timely to highlight to you a couple of internet links that may clarify the important messages that have been announced by the government. It is clear in this information that for the safety of our community, children must remain at home if it is safe for them to do so. They should not be meeting up in public spaces or in other households.

Latest government instructions
I am currently reviewing staffing availability to enable us to provide a reduced provision over the Easter holiday. This is likely to operate for a short period of time each day. It will be available to children with EHCP’s, those with social workers and parents who work in key occupations as determined by the government’s critical workers list (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision). If this is something that would enable you to complete the vital work you are doing at this time then please can you email Mrs Jewell email@example.com by Wednesday 3pm. I will then be in touch with the detail of any provision we are able to put in place.
As I have said in my previous messages, Bideford College is here to support you and your children with their learning over this period of closure. If you are experiencing any difficulties with on line accounts then please contact your child’s tutor as they can help with passwords. Subject teachers are also available to support with specific questions about the work set. You will find all contact email addresses on our web site (https://bidefordcollege.org/teaching-faculty-contact-details/). You are also able to contact the college by phone on 01237 477611 but please, under no circumstances come to the college site.
Best wishes to all at this very difficult time
Dr Claire Ankers
