Three teams from took part in the annual Ten Tors Challenge this year and all three teams successfully made it to the finish line!
35 A Team, led by Beth Gibb with Molly Pennington, Tessa Cleave, Caitlin Mitchell, James Seaman and Matt Mackenzie, arrived back first on Sunday morning at 11.53am – the fastest team we have had in many years!
The 35 B Team, led by Mirran Weir, with Harry Gale, Curtis Wilford, Josh Masters, Sam Walkey and Tom Picillo crossed the finish line at 4.08pm. This young team have really risen to the challenge by putting in more hours of training in order to make sure they were ready to take part. They have shown a wonderful team spirit throughout training.
Our 45 Team led by Issy Shaddick with Fergal Nesbitt, Seth Moore, Amy Seaman, Alice Guymer and Cameron Hillman came in at 4.27pm. A fantastic effort and display of courage and team spirit.
Toby Norton (former student) also took part in the Jubilee Challenge for the third time and gained his gold medal for his 13.5 mile route. A special thanks to Lorrie Woolgar and Jen Mills who both trained Toby and walked with him on the event. This is our first gold medal in this event for some years.
We would like to congratulate all the teams on a wonderful performance. For once the weather was in our favour and their efforts were rewarded with fantastic results.
