College Open Days
Open days at the College are an opportunity for parents/carers of Year 5 and Year 6 children to come and meet the Principal and staff and to get a real feel for what daily life at the College is all about. If you cannot get to us during the day we also run an evening event where you can meet staff and explore what is on offer for future prospective students.
We strive extremely hard at Bideford College to make the transition from Primary to Secondary as easy as possible. Open Days are a key part of that familiarisation process and help to reassure and ease any worries that you both might have.
In tandem with visits to all our feeder schools, the College open days are a great introduction to the exciting life of a student at Bideford College. We look forward to meeting you.
Open Days are taking place on 21/22/23/24 September 2015
When you arrive for any of the allocated day tour times you will be issued with a visitors badge and asked to wear it for the duration. This is a health and safety regulation within the College.
You will then be ushered into the Devon Hall for a short greeting by the Principal. You will be given an insight into the background of developments within the College. After this you will be split into groups and then tour the College to see us in a normal working day and at the end of which you can ask questions and give feedback on what you’ve seen.
Open Evening is taking place on 24 September 2015
The Open Evening will be an ‘open door’ event with activities in most areas and an opportunity to talk to members of staff and see specific departments. We will be delivering parent talks at 17:15 and 18:00.
Tours start with a short presentation and introduction by the Principal from where you will be split into groups with guides to show you around the College. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and have fun too.
